Responsible for the development and collection of bid opportunities, developing and maintaining favorable relationships with current and potential customers, achieving sales goals of our precast concrete products, business developing short term and long-term strategies and sales plans to increase the sales volume and profit margins.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the Sales Department.
  • Develops a sales strategy for the market that ensures attainment of company sales goals and profitability.
  • Provides accurate sales information through updated flash reports, bid pipeline, bid calendar, and customer profiles.
  • Prepares action plans by individuals as well as by team for effective search of sales leads and prospects.
  • Integral part of developing of action plan to penetrate new markets and/or products.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plan, and be the contact for marketing firm.
  • Responsible for maintaining and establishing an “outside” presence within the Precast, Construction and Architects sphere of influence.
  • Coordinate and manage the business unit sales budget process
  • Assist President/CEO and VP of Construction Management with special projects
  • Provides guidance, training and direction for sales team, as applicable.
  • Assures timely and accurate proposals are completed assuring all factors are calculated including: Specifications; Site requirements; Take-offs; Subcontractor bidding; Addendums; Schedule; Current cost factors (labor, material, overheads & burden); evaluate every 6 months; Sufficient margins per management requirements.
  • Review all project quotes prior to being sent to customer.  This includes hand written (electronic) signature & date on all quotes scanned and saved into the job folder.  Ensure that all Delegation of Authority limits are met and adhered to.
  • Assures completed documents are forwarded in a timely and complete manner to Project Management team.
  • Reviews all letters of intent, purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy of dollar amounts, quantities and terms and conditions as outlined in our quote are correct.  Work with the Estimating and Project Management team on process of getting contract signed and executed which include any legal/liability issues needing review and input.
  • Participates in yearly budget preparation with regards to “Selling” expense workbooks. Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines and inputs month end results into the budget workbook.
  • Prioritize goals and objectives, enforce deadlines, and recommend and implement solutions for changes and improvements.    
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Integral part of the senior management team, responsible for preparing and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Education & Experience:

  • Prior experience (5+ years) in sales/estimating of Precast Concrete preferred

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to read and interpret design drawings, blueprints and engineering production drawings.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Excel.
  • Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Proactive thinker, self-motivated, self-starter who is action oriented and results driven.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout USA and Canada, for sales or service on the above-described equipment (travel to locations anywhere in the USA or Canada depending on sales & service needs). On-site travel durations are generally limited to one-week visits, Monday through Friday.
  • Provide telephone support to customers and other technicians as needed.
  • Complete required documentation such as on-site reports, work order requests, expense reports, etc., and submit it to the home office on a timely basis.
  • Communicate and coordinate with the office continually with a positive attitude.
  • Participate hands-on in the remanufacturing division to learn the intricacies of Elematic equipment and automation.
  • Assist purchasing with technical assistance for sourcing purchased and manufactured components to fill spare parts orders and project demands.

Education & Experience:

  • A degree or certification in electronics is desired.
  • A strong preference for working knowledge of automation controls and software, PLC’s, VFD’s & HMI’s
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as diagrams, manuals, machine schematics, etc.
  • Provide day-to-day technical support on process control systems and related tasks and support the implementation of new projects.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience and education in the Precast industry is appreciated. Seeking a confident person with the ability to take charge and work as part of a team and independently. Must understand technical data relating to our products and instrumentation.
  • Make recommendations of equipment to be included in preventive maintenance programs, improvements to all maintenance processes, planning, scheduling, and corrective maintenance. Also, be proactive to help customers with proper troubleshooting training with top-tier technical support.
  • Good communication skills are a must. You should be able to communicate effectively in English (fluency in other languages is a plus), both written and verbal, as this is a very important facet of the position. The successful applicant will need to be computer literate and have familiarity with MS Office applications and the internet. Knowledge of computer hardware functions and software applications, as well as an understanding of basic.
