As a Sales Manager at CXT Inc. you are responsible to sell precast products with a primary focus on strategically increasing customer base by making outside sales calls within designated region, increasing sales of precast products, and working with plant leadership to add additional precast products to portfolio, while meeting customer specifications and design requirements, scheduling of material procurement and deliveries, supply chain purchasing and budget management for each project.

This Position

  1. Create strategies that meet or exceed, on a consistent basis, the annual operating and rolling strategic plans.
  2. Implement strategic market activities, locally and regionally, to generate maximum sales & gross profit.
  3. Meet with customers to discuss their evolving needs and assess the quality of our company relationship with customers and seek new opportunities with prospective customers.
  4. Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, and credit terms; and resolve customer complaints regarding product or service.
  5. Maintain sales volume, product mix and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
  6. Work with plant leadership to provide estimates, credit or contract terms, warranty information, and delivery dates to customers.
  7. Coordinate with production to ensures production schedules are met and deliveries accomplished within customer timeline.
  8. Provide accurate monthly reporting, including tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  9. Work effectively with Engineering, Plant Leadership and Finance to ensure customer production timeline is met and invoicing is complete.
  10. Other duties as assigned.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field required or equivalent job-related experience
  • Minimum 4 years of sales experience required
  • 2-4 years management experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP or other CRM software a plus
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization
  • Business sense and industry knowledge
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and team environment
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, mostly day trips

Lombard Architectural Precast Products Company (LAPPCO) is an award-winning manufacturer of architectural precast wall and building components that serves the Chicagoland area. We are a PCI certified plant. LAPPCO has been manufacturing architectural precast wall products for over 55 years. We are a family owned and operated business.

We are looking to fill a position for Sales and Administration. The general duties of the job include:

Sales & Marketing

  • Develop and maintain contact with architects, developers, CMs and GCs
  • Use social media to promote our products and our company
  • Spearhead submittals for PCI annual project awards
  • Participate in PCI and PCI IL/WI events to promote our industry and our company
  • Work with architects/engineers/contractors on design assist
  • Work with estimators to develop budgets and bids; this includes review of proposed panelization, anchoring, crane usage and site access/logistics

Administration

  • Review contracts with clients for scope and general requirements
  • Develop contracts with engineers/caulkers/erectors/specialty suppliers
  • Perform general oversight of office staff and functions
  • Supervise estimators, project managers, production, and quality control managers
  • Develop and chair “hand off” meetings
  • Chair weekly staff meetings

Position reports to the company president.

Education/Experience

  • Candidate should have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in the precast industry, preferably architectural precast
  • Have a working knowledge about all facets of precast – cost, fabrication, erecting, finishes
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience with social media
  • College degree preferred

Candidate must be able to demonstrate that they can work in a team environment with excellent communication, analytic and leadership skills. Candidate must be able to multitask and be an efficient time manager.

Reports to: Vice President, Sales

Job Overview: Gate Precast is looking for a Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. Service area would include Texas and southern Oklahoma with primary focus on DFW, Austin, and other major markets. This position is remote, but will have an office at our Hillsboro, TX plant.

This sales role will generate revenue by educating owners, designers, engineers, and contractors while qualifying potential projects while providing emphasis on total precast.

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Initiates the sales process by scheduling appointments and making presentations; and understanding and influencing design requirements.
  • Instills confidence in the marketplace, standing behind its value proposition of quality, service, technology, design assist and financial capabilities.
  • Market our building enclosure systems capabilities along with total precast
  • Expand sales in the design community by introducing new products; developing new applications and promoting design-assist.
  • Close sales by working closely with the estimating staff during the estimating and bidding process with potential accounts.
  • Provide engineering support and training to estimating and other sales staff on structural precast projects.
  • Works closely with plant operations staff and attends weekly meetings at plant when available.
  • Actively pursues all opportunities within the region.
  • Network by participating in construction-oriented educational opportunities and PCI regional organizations.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, training, and education
  • Proven work experience with Architectural cladding, Architectural Precast and/or façade required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability successfully engage all levels of customer base
  • Action-oriented. Acts with a sense of urgency, and with the end-result in mind. Prioritizes workload and uses time effectively.
  • High sales aptitude, self-motivated. Proven sales skills, abilities, and effective closing techniques
  • Familiar with PCI and ACI design requirements to be able to converse effectively with designers, estimators and project leadership.
  • Day travel is required within Texas. Some overnight travel may be required.
  • Requires a valid driver license and clean MVR.
