We are seeking a reliable, experienced logistics manager to join our growing organization. In this position, you will coordinate inventory storage, and distribution. You must have accurate and precise attention to detail in order to manage daily operations, logistics personnel, and logistics systems.

Logistics Manager Duties and Responsibilities

·       Create yard layout plans for storage of finished precast products.

·       Bid and execute contracts with outside trucking companies for the delivery of products while meeting schedule and budgets.

·       Create shipping schedules for on time delivery of precast products to the job site.

·       Prepares Bills of Ladings for outgoing shipments.

·       Coordinates and adjusts shipping schedules and communicates with yard, trucking and erection crews to meet job site requirements on a day by day, hour by hour basis.

·       Posts shipments completed to erection shipping schedules.

·       Manages and directs the work schedule of (3) – (5) Bristol group truck drivers in the transportation of the following:

·       Precast products to job sites

·       Fabricated materials from plants to job sites

·       Fabricated steel products between Bristol Plants

·       Heavy equipment from job site to job site

·       Maintains DOT compliance:

·       Bristol Group truck drivers

·       Proper loading

·       DOT inspections – Bristol owned trailers and tractors

·       Manage flatbed trailer program:

·       Maintains inventory of trailers to meet delivery schedules

·       Manages leasing agreements on leased trailers

·       Schedule and complete both preventive and breakdown maintenance

·       Schedule and complete DOT inspections to maintain compliance.

·       Ensure all shipments are compliant with interstate traffic laws and regulations.

·       Creates and manages budgets on an annual and job by job basis.

·       Establishes and maintains performance metrics (KPIs).

·       Ensure all shipments are compliant with interstate traffic laws and regulations.

Logistics Manager Requirements

·       Bachelor’s degree in the supply chain, transportation, logistics, business, or related field; or extensive experience in logistics management preferred but not required.

·       Previous experience as a manager, supervisor, coordinator, or relevant position

·       Experience in industry procedures, costs, and terms

·       Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

Summary:
The Batch Plant Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the batch plant and related equipment in a manner that allows efficient production of slump concrete, drycast mixes, SCC, RCC, and porous concrete. He is responsible to produce concrete that meets ACI and PCI guidelines. The Batch Plant Operator will also work with other divisions within the company from time to time to complete pours on job sites.

Job Duties:

Safety
- Immediately report all accidents, incidents and near misses occurring on the job site to your supervisor.
- Report all safety and health hazards to supervisors and take necessary actions to establish an immediate temporary control of the hazard until permanent control can be established.
- Maintain and utilize all PPE provided.
- Attend and participate in all required safety training and meetings.
- Learn and comply with all safety rules, policies and regulations applicable to your work.
- Work safely in a manner as to ensure your safety as well as the safety of those around you.
- Follow all safety rules.

Batch Operator
- Maintain and perform general maintenance of batching and related equipment.
- Ensure proper compliance to specifications of concrete required.
- Operate all machinery involved in the batching process.
- Set up plant for which ever type of concrete that needs batched.
- Ensure all plant calibrations and certifications are completed as required.
- Ensure that proper materials are in stock for mixes. 
- Ensure that proper material is being mixed for the type of concrete being produced. 
- Inspect plant for worn and broken parts. 
- Assist in major mechanical work or any other type of work being performed. 
- Keep proper records of maintenance, daily batch tickets, mix design notes, etc.

Responsibilities: 
The Batch Plant Operator reports to the Precast Production Manager or Ready Mix Manager (dependent upon which plant they are operating) and is responsible for ensuring proper operation of the plant before, during and after the mix cycle.  Will be expected to perform general maintenance to the plant and will make certain that plant certifications provided by quality control are completed and in tolerance.  Will be expected to be able to review the work being conducted and determine it is being completed in the most productive and cost effective manner.  Will be expected to use sound judgment, diplomacy, discretion, self-drive and honesty in carrying out the functions of the job.

Job Title:  Field Superintendent

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Direct and manage all field operations with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, project erection, and other field-related activities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement health, safety and environmental procedures on site in accordance with legislation and company policy to ensure safety of all workers and protection of public. Must possess knowledge of all OSHA and EPA Regulations as they apply to construction field operations and knowledge of building codes, construction standards and good practices. 
  • Identify changes in project scope and assist Project Manager with pricing changes. 
  • Assist Project Manager in establishing working relationship with owners, architects, engineers and subcontractors. 
  • Assist the Project Manager in updating the project schedule to ensure project milestones are achieved; Implement corrective action where necessary to catch up and meet key milestone dates. 
  • Supervise all field personnel to achieve completion of project on schedule to conform to original plans and specifications.
  • Plan and organize project and crews; Coordination of sub-contractors, including follow up on site attendance issues, review of sub-contracted work for quality and completeness, and conflict resolution with sub-contractors. 
  • Provide training and development assistance for carpenters and laborers as needed.
  • Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, reviewing extra work orders, recording timecards, conducting daily safety inspections and other required reports.
  • Able to review and implement construction drawing and specifications 
  • Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary
  • Experienced in managing, on time and on budget

Direct and manage all quality related activities.  Pre-pour and post-pour examination of precast and prestressed concrete to assure product conforms to specifications.  Have overall responsibilities for QC team and quality of product as well as other quality-related activities.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish and monitor overall plant performance for quality standards.
  • Perform QC tasks to maintain schedule.
  • Examine material and product for defects.
  • Establish protocol and methods to verify specific dimensions of product to ensure meets specifications.
  • Maintain existing plant facilities and equipment; replace, or make adjustments to plant facilities and equipment when necessary.
  • Provide leadership and training to accomplish the quality goals and objectives.
  • Support the maintenance department in implementing and maintaining preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ensures plant personnel are committed to plant cleanliness.
  • Provides direction, development and leadership to production supervisors.  
  • Conduct interviews, hire, suspend, layoff, terminate, and manage QC Technicians.
  • Make recommendations for salary and position changes for QC Technicians.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or five years quality assurance experience in a prestress/precast environment.
