  • Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Payroll, Workers Compensation, Property Taxes, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition and Accounting staff.
  • Coordinate and direct preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements along with WIP for any deferred revenue recognition effects.
  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance
  • Manage Year-End Sales and Cost Analysis forecasting with CPA for tax estimates
  • Q1 work closely with outside CPA regarding preparation of corporate tax returns
  • Early Q1 work closely with outside CPA firm to support their financial audit and preparations of annual published financial packet.
  • Ensure quality controls over financial transactions and financial reporting
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings (Use, payroll, property, etc.)
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Work closely with estimating/project management insuring accurate proposals, budgets, and forecasting.
  • Maintain and develop company financial relationships across all areas.
  • Banking and Cash Flow Management daily
  • Additional controller duties as necessary


  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Must have Job Cost accounting principles understanding and background
  • Familiar with software accounting programs like Sage contractor 100 or timberline, etc.
  • Notary preferred
  • Previous management experience
  • Construction or manufacturing background preferred

We are hiring the next Executive Director for PCI of Illinois & Wisconsin, a regional PCI Chapter.  Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate possesses the marketing savvy to promote our membership and grow the precast market with a strong appreciation and understanding of our industry and its technical aspects.

The job…
The focus of the role and our mission is increasing the use of precast, prestressed concrete products in the Illinois and Wisconsin commercial and infrastructure construction markets through cooperative marketing of our members’ design, manufacturing, and construction expertise.  This unique role requires someone able to balance executive leadership while engaging at the tactical level.  You have full responsibility for managing the Chapter and all its programs, and engaging with our membership, potential customers, and future talent pipeline. Additional key attributes for our next Executive Directors include entrepreneurial drive, externally and internally focused, and high emotional intelligence.  

What you bring…
Bachelor’s Degree in a business-focused or engineering program
Five (5) plus years’ experience in the construction industry, preferably in an externally focused role
Precast/prestressed industry experience preferred
Previous experience managing programs with fiscal accountability
Marketing experience including the use of social media platforms and website maintenance
Strong technology skills including demonstrated use of Microsoft Office Suite including PowerPoint
Self-motivated and competitive with strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Experience presenting to groups, including the development of materials
Ability to prepare, provide, and convey diversified, sometimes technical information 
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Professional and positive demeanor
Maintains the standards of ethical business practices in all activities
Ability to create new educational programs for membership and other key stakeholders
Ability to travel 30-40% within the Illinois and Wisconsin region, and at least two trips within North America to PCI meetings outside of the region
