The Plant Manager position is responsible for the leadership of the Charlestown Precast Facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Leadership

·      Provide a safe working environment for all employees.

·      Development and maintenance of relevant Key Performance Metrics.

·      Lead plant stand-up meetings and monthly meetings.

·      Provide a safe working environment for all employees.

·      Creation / Development / Maintenance

·      Production Plan – Weekly, Daily, Long term.

·      Production / Labor Forecasting – (90) days out.

·      Plant Layout.

·      Plant 3S Program.

·      Standard Operating Procedures.

·      Key Performance Indicators.

·      Employee Communication Boards.

·      Documentation and File Maintenance – Organized, Complete, and Easily Retrievable.

·      Plant Wide Control – Review / Check / Approve

·      Purchase Requisitions

·      Monthly Safety Audits

·      Requests for Time Off

·      Lead Continuous Improvement Activities

·      Lead Kaizen Events.

·      Maintain the “ 3S “ program.

·  Audits

·  Scoring

·  Improving Scores Audit to Audit

·      Maintain Legal and Company Compliance

·      Maintain Compliance to all State and Federal Regulations

·  OSHA/NFPA/Electrical Code

·  EPA

·      Air

·      Hazardous Waste

·      Sara 312 / 313

·  DOT in regards to Company Trucks

·  Enforce compliance to all company rules and standards

Supervisory Responsibility

·      Direct Reports to the Plant Manager

·      Maintenance Supervisor

·      Batch Plant Lead

Qualifications

·      To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

·      The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required to be successful in this position.

Education and Experience

·      College degree. Degree in Mechanical or Process Engineering Ideal

·      (4) Years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

·      ACI I Certification preferred, but not required

·      PCI I, II, and III Certifications preferred, but not required

·      OSHA (30) Hour Certificate preferred, but not required.

Required Skills

·      Excellent Leadership, management and communication skills.

·      Excellent organizational skills.

·      Ability to read blueprints as related to panel forming and production.

·      Ability to use basic measuring tools (scale, tape measure, squares, etc.)

·      Proficient in math.

·      High level of troubleshooting skills.

·      Ability to use computers, tablets, and applicable software.

·      Ability use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook at a high level.

Physical Demands

·      The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by and employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

·      Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

·      Must be able to sit for extended period of time while sitting at a desk or in meetings.

·      Must be able to squat, crawl, and kneel to complete special tasks.

Work Environment

·      The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

·      The office area is climate controlled.

·      The work areas outside of the office are not climate controlled. Ambient temperatures and humidity will generally be the same as outdoor temperatures. In the summer, temperatures and humidity cane be greater than ambient temperature. In winter, they can be lower.

·      Some work will be done in direct sunlight outdoors.

·      Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust, and dirt can be very high.
