EnCon is currently seeking a Chief Engineer.   Acting as the senior engineer, the successful applicant will be responsible for developing a training curriculum to advance new hires and existing design engineers.    The Chief Engineer is responsible for the maintenance and development of the design standards for all the EnCon manufacturing companies.   Design standards include forming constraints, design process and logic, code conformance and calculation package development.  In addition, the Chief Engineer will support the department management and throughput of design work while acting as a lead engineer on specific projects as required.

Technical Responsibilities include:

  • Develop and maintain the EnCon Design standards to ensure safe efficient design work references plant specific preferences and capabilities
  • Develop and maintain a training program specific to training prestressed and precast design practices specific to the EnCon Company market segments
  • Lead a design teams for the preparation of required design and details for specific projects assigned by Engineering Manager, while taking into account:
    • Compliance with building codes and project-specific design requirements
    • Meeting the project deadlines and ensuring design quality
    • Safe, efficient and economical production, stripping, transportation, installation, shoring and alignment of the product
    • Adherence to Company standards and procedures in design and detailing
    • Budget and material limitations of the project
  • Participate in project planning and execution by:
    • Review of construction documents in the preplanning phase to identify project scope, schedule, and design approach
    • Review of plans, details and specifications and provide interpretation. Identify deficiencies and assist with resolution
    • Maintaining project design and communication documentation for the duration of the job
  • Assist Engineering Manager in:
    • Preparation of design effort estimates, staffing schedules and assignments, and budget tracking
    • Coordination with manufacturing facilities to identify workload and schedules
    • Providing technical assistance to other departments as required
  • Report project and staff progress to Engineering Manager at regular intervals
  • Supervise and provide guidance as necessary to department and other employees as assigned

  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD – Preferred
  • Working experience with Revit –Strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office software and Precast Design Software. (Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams)
  • BS in Civil Engineering required, MS in Civil Engineering preferred
  • PE registration required with ability to obtain registrations in other states where EnCon operates

E.Construct is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Orlando, FL office to perform structural engineering design and analysis for architectural and structural precast concrete members (both conventionally reinforced and prestressed). Individuals will apply theoretical knowledge of structural and civil engineering concepts and principles, as well as experience working in the construction field, to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare design calculations, reports and spreadsheets in accordance to applicable contract documents
  • Perform analysis related to stripping and rigging of precast concrete members.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis on precast concrete members.
  • Design and analyze connections and anchoring both for handling and erecting precast members.
  • Work with a multidiscipline team to ensure a coordinated design package.

We are seeking a structural engineer. Must be able to understand directions and budget time for engineering assignments. Experience with reinforced concrete design is preferred. Other tasks are listed below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities


All employees are required to follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment, and the production of high-quality products.


1.     Collaborate with management and supervision to identify, justify, and implement new and improved production methods to improve productivity and quality.  Projects can come from plant to plant comparisons, comparisons with other prestress manufacturers, capital equipment justification, or classical industrial engineering techniques of methods analysis, work simplification, materials handling, layout or value analysis

2.     Supervise work measurement of manufacturing processes, both measurement of new processes or products or reviews of existing standards.  Measurement may be done by Corporate field crew, management consultant or in-house personnel

3.     Supervise hourly or non-exempt employees in standards maintenance and report preparation

4.     Audit labor performance reports for identification of operational problems

5.     Coordinate with supervision and management to identify variation from standard, and correct substandard performance through project management or preparation of short interval schedules/work plans

6.     Support capital equipment procurement by performing objective cost/benefit justification studies as required

7.     Lead special cost reduction or process improvement related projects, such as procurement, installation and start-up of new equipment or casting facilities as the individual’s skill set will allow

8.     Develop, implement, lead, maintain and improve the Quality Management System for specific Tindall Division under the direction of the Division and Corporate leadership and in accord with ISO 9001 guidelines

9.     Perform periodic internal audits of departmental processes as required by ISO 9001 standards

10.  Manage activities of the ISO committee

11.  Consult with VP/General Managers at other Tindall Divisions in building ISO 9001/Quality Management System appropriate for each plan or product as required

12.  Develop and recommend annual labor and variable overhead budgets

13.  Review estimated labor for schedule production and identify deficiencies and communicate problems to estimating department and management.  Create plans to meet the estimate

14.  Track daily hours worked and help manage labor to reduce overtime costs versus estimate and devise plans to improve in future projects

15.  Plan and lead Post-Mortem meetings after producing a project to analyze actual costs versus estimate and devise plans to improve in future projects

16.  Keep estimators informed of the latest labor standards and labor performances


17.  Review scheduled work on a weekly basis and communicate labor budget to supervisors
