Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Generate Revit models of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems for building coordination purposes from 2D drawings.
  • Compile project models from subcontractors into Navisworks.
  • Perform clash detection of building systems and document & track resolutions.
  • Embed 3D models with accurate product data that can be utilized for pricing and quantity take-offs.
  • Verify compliance with the project’s Scope of Work.
  • Collaborate with design disciplines to ensure precast products meet the requirements for integrated systems.
  • Develop a Revit site model and Foundation Utility and Site Improvements (FUSI) plan to find and resolve site issues.
  • Generate cut/fill analysis for projects to minimize downstream construction costs.
  • Generate survey point data for all foundations, embeds, and precast layout to be used by the foundation subcontractor and precast erection crew.

Education & Experience:

  • You possess general knowledge of building construction.

The Precast Project Engineer has the overall authority to take any reasonable action necessary to carry out the assigned responsibilities and duties as long as these actions are within sound ethical practices and good business judgment and are consistent with company procedures.

  • Plan, schedule, coordinate and control all Precast Project Engineer activities. Assign and prioritize the workload to optimize productivity and meet the budget goal, deadlines and quality goals. E.Construct is seeking a Structural Engineer for our Orlando, FL office to perform structural engineering design and analysis for architectural and structural precast concrete members (both conventionally reinforced and prestressed). Individuals will apply theoretical knowledge of structural and civil engineering concepts and principles, as well as experience working in the construction field, to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare design calculations, reports and spreadsheets in accordance to applicable contract documents
  • Perform analysis related to stripping and rigging of precast concrete members.
  • Conduct Finite Element Analysis on precast concrete members.
  • Design and analyze connections and anchoring both for handling and erecting precast members.
  • Work with a multidiscipline team to ensure a coordinated design package.
  • Provide structural engineering support to sales and estimating as needed including reviewing drawings, preliminary design and technical support on sales calls.
  • Provide engineering support to quality control and erection processes.
  • Perform structural modeling using software.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or any related engineering field of study.
  • Three (3) years minimum experience in the job offered.
  • P.E. or S.E. license or ability to become licensed.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
