Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Learn Gage drawing standards for line types, title blocks, job numbering system, and product finish marks.
  • Complete layout and piece ticket revision updates from checked red lines.
  • Detail summaries including strand patterns, cut pieces, bearing pads and details, standard notes, and notches/openings.
  • Interpret contract drawings (architectural, structural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) for non-typical situations.
  • Collaborate with production to answer questions regarding plates, strand, and rebar.
  • Work on teams with engineers, sales professionals, and project managers to resolve design issues.

Education & Experience:

  • Degree from technical school or equivalent experience.
  • Revit experience required.
  • Precast/prestressed drafting experience required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to work overtime and/or extended schedule as needed to meet deadlines.
  • Hours typically Monday through Friday, Saturdays as needed 40-45 hours per week.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare calculations and drawings to support structural design of product to include concrete reinforcement, product sizing, connection requirements and overall stability analysis to meet customer demands and building codes. (Hollowcore, plank, beams, columns, slabs, wall panels)
  • Examine general plans, specifications and cost estimates to ensure drawings match customer expectations.
