Qualified Candidates will possess

Essential Job Functions

  • Must have a working relationship with project management in developing schedules and communicating with customers to ensure compliance with overall requirements and schedule.
  • Direct, manage, oversee, and facilitate a team of Engineers, Drafters and Checkers in the completion of their responsibilities and duties on assigned projects. Administrative accountability for team members.
  • Lead team in development of engineering schedules supportive of production schedule. Assume full accountability for quality, efficiency of design (manufacturing and erection) and schedule of engineering process. Facilitate and coordinate the team resources to complete all aspects of the engineering process. Ensure complete design conformance to contract documents. 
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual design obligations. Develop and maintain a Submittal Schedule. Ensure that all contractually required engineering submittals are submitted and returned to ensure contract compliance and schedule conformance. Expedite the approval return of all submittals to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Oversee and manage the development of erection drawings in conformance with the contract documents consistent with the most efficient production and erection practices (i.e., design for manufacturability) and at the highest level of quality to ensure a seamless output of production drawings and data. 
  • Oversee schedule conformance for all production releases and engineering calculations.
  • Coordinate the activities of all engineering subcontractors assigned to projects, including scheduling and oversight of all related work.
  • Perform other duties and assignments as required within the scope of job responsibilities.

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Human Resources & Safety Director and in conjunction with the manufacturing personnel, supervise and coordinate the company’s health and safety program designed to guard against accidental injury and disablement, fire, explosion, etc. Coordinate the activities of the safety committees. Investigate accidents to determine cause and prepare the necessary reports and otherwise maintain constant surveillance to detect unsafe conditions and recommend correction.  Ensure conformity with safety regulations, use of personal equipment, machine guards, etc. Conduct periodic inspection of cranes, hoists, fire extinguisher, and floor surfaces or other conditions that may cause accidents. Maintain records.

Essential Functions:

  • Create and implement safety plans while ensuring that they are being followed daily.
  • Train or coordinate health and safety training for all Molin staff and departments.
  • Manage and collaborate with manufacturing leaders on internal and external audits of operations.
  • Conduct safety observation reports on a regular basis.
  • Attend safety walks and inspections before or during operations to analyze safety risks.
  • Follow up on unsafe condition and maintenance request progress. 
  • Assist Receiving Department with distribution of Safety Data Sheets to correct SDS books.
  • Update AWAIR program, policies, JSA’s and other health and safety programs.
  • Educate and train employees on safety standards and expectations as well as safe machinery operation.
  • Investigate accident that occur onsite and identify possible causes of accident.
  • Direct safety committee meetings, projects and any safety training that employees are required to attend. 
  • Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace.
  • Maintain documentation of the company’s safety procedures, accidents and related events.
  • Act as a liaison between management and external safety agencies, such as fire and insurance personnel.
  • Responsible for managing, operating, and maintaining surveillance equipment, observe recorded video surveillance footage as needed, and report incidents of unsafe acts/behavior to the Director of HR and Safety as necessary.
  • Maintain PPE equipment is compliant and available for employees and visitors.

Education and Experience:

Summary:

Develop and maintain relationships with architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners to ensure they understand the value of Molin’s products and services in the production of their project(s). Participate in industry events to stay on top of the latest trends in precast. Negotiate, innovate, educate with all stakeholders to promote demand for Molin’s total precast solutions. Facilitate corporate growth and market share through sales efforts and marketing of precast/pre-stressed concrete products.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist Sales and Estimating personnel with pre-construction engineering services to further define project scope. Facilitate accurate pricing to our customers.
  • Provide value engineering during the preliminary stages of potential projects to promote efficient use of Molins products, services, and manufacturing methods.
  • Meet with customers, review RFPs and partner with estimating to prepare proposals for bid review by Executive Management.
  • Assist Architects, General Contractor, and Owners in developing precast construction documents that accurately define the project scope including facilitating efficiencies for all internal departments.

Summary:

Provides complete, accurate and timely drawings for the successful manufacture and installation of Molin’s products.

Essential Functions:

  • Produce time sensitive, accurate layout and piece shop drawings from contract specifications using AutoCAD and Revit for various assignments that vary in scope.
  • Review general plans, specifications, and cost estimates to ensure drawings align with expectations.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to provide and/or receive information to assure accurate drawings that will permit successful manufacture and installation of product.

Job Overview

Gate Precast is looking for a Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. Service area would include Texas and southern Oklahoma with primary focus on DFW, Austin, and other major markets. This position is remote, but will have an office at our Hillsboro, TX plant.

This sales role will generate revenue by educating owners, designers, engineers, and contractors while qualifying potential projects while providing emphasis on total precast.

Areas of Responsibilities:

  • Initiates the sales process by scheduling appointments and making presentations; and understanding and influencing design requirements.
  • Instills confidence in the marketplace, standing behind its value proposition of quality, service, technology, design assist and financial capabilities
  • Market our building enclosure systems capabilities along with total precast
  • Expand sales in the design community by introducing new products; developing new applications and promoting design-assist.
  • Close sales by working closely with the estimating staff during the estimating and bidding process with potential accounts.
  • Provide engineering support and training to estimating and other sales staff on structural precast projects.
  • Works closely with plant operations staff and attends weekly meetings at plant when available
  • Actively pursues all opportunities within the region
  • Network by participating in construction-oriented educational opportunities and PCI regional organizations

Qualifications:
