More about your Industrial Maintenance Tech position:

  • Perform spot checks on equipment to ensure proper working condition
  • Service tools and equipment
  • Assist with conveyor belt repairs, power train & bearing maintenance, motor, and gearbox replacement, fork truck maintenance
  • Accurately and consistently change out parts
  • Perform preventive maintenance and lubrication on all equipment
  • Walk/stand, bend, kneel, and climb throughout shift
  • Frequent reaching overhead
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed
  • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and two years of technical, electrical, or mechanical experience; OR
  • Completion of vocational or apprenticeship program

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing, bending, stooping, and reaching.
  • Must have a full range of physical motion as required to properly operate manual and electric power tools
  • Must have the balance necessary to work on scaffolding and roofs
  • Will work in a variety of environments and weather with exposure to dust, fumes, and chemicals in both indoor and outdoor construction
  • Must be able to regularly lift up to 75 lbs.

Here’s when you will be working:

This is a full-time career with Northeast Precast.  The days and hours of work are Monday through Friday beginning at midnight and ending at approximately 8 AM. Overtime is expected to occur depending on project requirements. This position may entail weekend work but only on occasion.

Here are the duties you will be performing:

  • Responsible for mechanical repair and maintenance/upkeep of heavy trucks, earth-moving, and related construction equipment: concrete mixers, trailers, dump trucks, pick-up trucks, and other company vehicles (forklifts, etc.)
  • Inspect, repair, and adjust diesel-powered units, hydraulic systems, injection valves and systems, moldboards, cable-operated attachments, vehicle tires, etc.
  • Ability to diagnose defects in heavy-duty equipment
  • Must show a continuous effort to improve equipment, decrease turnaround time and work cooperatively with other mechanics and/or independently
  • Ability to use power tools and other automotive servicing equipment
  • Understand and follow safety procedures at all times
  • Perform some welding as needed
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and free of debris

Here are the qualifications we are looking for:

  • Class A CDL driver’s license preferred but not required
  • Have an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Ability to stand for long periods, stoop or bend repeatedly
  • Time management skills, being responsible, honest, and hard-working are a must!

Summary: The Facilities Custodian is responsible for ensuring clean and safe work areas by performing the general cleaning of floors, workspaces, storage areas, etc.

Essential Functions:

  • Perform general cleaning and related custodial duties for plant, manufacturing areas, warehouse, shipping areas, offices, restrooms, lunchrooms, and break areas.
