The Quality Control Technician is responsible for in-process inspection of precast product, ready mix product and steel fabrication production. The Quality Control Technician must record, document and file information related to various specifications to include but not limited to PCI, ACI, PennDOT and AISC.

The Quality Control Technician reports to the Quality Control Manager and is responsible for all in-process inspections, documentation and confirmation that products adhere to the proper specifications and tolerances for the specific product type.  Will be expected to maintain a current knowledge of QC procedures and certification and assure a standard of quality is maintained at all times. Will be expected to review the work being conducted and determine it is being completed in the most productive and cost-effective manner. As a Project Manager for Bethlehem Construction, you will have the opportunity to manage a multitude of construction projects which utilize precast concrete. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Participates in accurate project estimates and bid proposals, including detailed project takeoffs,
• budgets and job costing.
• Prepares construction contracts, subcontracts, change orders and purchase orders, & writes
• RFIs, as necessary.
• Demonstrates excellent computer skills, requiring in-depth knowledge and proficiency in
• Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Oversees and manages each project from estimate preparation through completion and
• handoff to the customer, while staying within budget and on schedule.
• Prepares project and manufacturing schedule. Communicates with our production team to
• ensure timely deliverables and production schedule coordination.
• Conducts and reports budget tracking.
• Schedules project timelines and reports on job progress to Bethlehem Construction
• Management, as well as the Client.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum (3) years of Construction Management experience, preferably in precast, prestress concrete construction.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Demonstrates excellent computer skills, requiring in-depth knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Must understand Construction Safety Requirements and Compliance, and be a Safety Advocate for Bethlehem Construction, Inc.
• Excellent communication skills with various parties including Management, Subcontractors, Consultants, Engineers, Architects, Vendors, and Clients.
• Candidate must be well-spoken, professional, and polite. In addition, the successful candidate must be a good listener.
• Must be self-motivated with a positive attitude, and willing to work as part of a team.
• Must be a proactively engaged member of the team that looks at all aspects of design and construction, to ensure that all phases of the project go smoothly.
• Must have an aptitude to learn new skills, and a willingness to manage change in self and organization.
• Must have a keen sense of attention to detail.
• Must be willing and able to implement directions quickly and correctly.
