Abstract
This article is the sixth and final paper in the series of articles on Boston, Massachusetts’ mammoth Central Artery Tunnel Project. This multi-billion dollar project is the largest highway construction job ever undertaken in the United States. The first five articles discussed the various innovative ways in which precast/prestressed concrete is playing in the successful construction of this project. This concluding article summarizes the major precasting techniques being utilized and outlines the project milestones planned and accomplished so far, which already having a beneficial impact on transportation needs of the people of Boston.
