The Gallery Apartments is a luxury multifamily community with locations in Burnsville, Eagan, and Saint Paul, MN. Each residential unit features an open floor plan, gourmet kitchen, and granite countertops.

To complete the projects on schedule, project leaders sought durable construction materials that could be manufactured with short lead times. Precast concrete hollowcore was specified for the structures’ podiums for its unmatched efficiency and structural benefits.

Key Project Attributes

County Materials Corporation utilized its enhanced production capacity to manufacture 126,200 square feet of precast concrete hollowcore planks, 1,800 square feet of solid precast concrete slabs, and 6,200 linear feet of precast concrete columns and beams for the project.  Each component was manufactured to specification during production which allowed for installation immediately upon delivery.

Project/Precast Scope

Ideal for residential applications, precast concrete hollowcore offers high-performance strength and fire ratings up to three hours. The prestressed concrete planks support high load capacities across long, column-free spans, maximizing usable space and providing a reliable foundation for the residential structure above. Hollowcore maintains comfortable indoor temperatures and resists mold to provide a safe, comfortable environment for its occupants.
