PROJECT OVERVIEW
MSU GRIP represents the final phase of a sprawling healthcare campus, known as the “Medical Mile,” that includes schools, training facilities, hospitals, cancer centers, and research buildings.
Joining the existing Grand Rapids Research Center on the MSU GRIP site is the new Doug Meijer Medical Innovation Building and a 596-car parking structure. Fabcon (formerly known as Kerkstra), based in Grandville, Mich., fabricated and erected the parking structure and a four-story office liner on top that designed to support a 10-story office tower.

PRECAST SOLUTION
The owner, Health Innovation Partners-MSU, wanted the structure completed as soon as possible. The idea was to get the parking structure operational while the [Doug Meijer] building was under construction. |
