JOB TITLE: Executive Director 

OBJECTIVE: To manage the Association affairs of Georgia/Carolinas PCI and help grow the precast/prestressed concrete industry through technical, educational and marketing promotion in GA, NC and SC. 

FUNCTION: To serve as the chief staff officer and marketing director under direction of the G/C PCI Chairman, Executive Committee and Board of Directors. To be responsible for all association administration, and marketing responsibilities for both commercial and transportation markets as outlined below.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Executive Director shall perform administrative and marketing tasks, and such duties and services as may be requested by the Board of Directors of the Association in accordance with its bylaws and consistent with Executive Director’s role in the Association and the terms of his/her Employment Agreement. The Executive Director has the full authority and responsibility for managing the Chapter and all programs within established guidelines. 

ASSOCIATION ADMINISTRATION: 
1. Mission Leadership – Oversee the Association strategic plan development and implementation. 
2. Governance and Management – Manage the day to day affairs of the Association, including governance of bylaws and policies. 
3. Association Finances and Accounting - Develop and manage the Association’s annual budget, invoice and collect membership dues, coordinate tax filings (Form 990), payroll and benefits, seek additional sources of funding, including preparation and presentation of funding request from the Southeast Cement Promotion Association (or similar). 
4. Legal Compliance – Maintain compliance with IRS not-for-profit regulations and maintain business license. 
5. Consultants Coordination – Manage accountant, bridge consultant, marketing, etc., as required. 
6. Documents and Files – Maintain the Association files including bylaws, policies, meeting agendas, minutes, reports, mailing lists, etc. 
7. Membership – Promote and maintain Association membership, recruit producer and associate member firms, keep membership records, and maintain upkeep of digital membership directory. 
8. Membership Communications – Write and distribute member electronic communications and provide periodic activities reports. Maintain regular contact with G/C PCI members via meetings and visits. 
9. Membership Meetings – Plan and coordinate the Association’s Annual Meeting and special Board Meetings.

MARKETING & PROMOTION:

Create programs targeted to grow and expand the market for precast and prestressed concrete solutions, thus creating greater opportunity for our members – both producer and supplier, to promote and sell their products. 
1. Marketing Program - Develop, execute and maintain a detailed marketing program directed at key decision makers (owners, architects, engineers, contractors, academics) in the commercial (buildings) market, transportation (bridge) market and higher education institutions. 
2. G/C PCI Brand - Develop a branded program of promotional and marketing material (advertising, tradeshow exhibit, collateral material, etc.) in concert with the PCI national brand. 
3. Advocacy (Bridge Market) - Coordinate periodic joint meetings with each State DOT and bridge producer members. And coordinate the Prestressed Concrete Economical Fabrication (PCEF) Committee (FHWA, 3-State DOTs, Research Universities and G/C PCI bridge producers). Facilitate DOT engineer participation in the PCI Convention and National Bridge Conference. 
4. Advocacy (Commercial Market) - Maintain relationships and be active in various allied industry associations (AIA, CSI, DBIA, SAME, ASCE, A4LE, SCUP, etc.). Participate in industry association conferences and trade shows (exhibit, sponsor, present). 
5. Industry Promotion – Promote and market the attributes and benefits of precast and prestressed concrete products, systems and solutions to Architects, Engineers, Owners, Contractors and Academics. 
6. Professional Continuing Education - Coordinate and conduct presentations (lunch & learns, webinars, seminars) as continuing education of A/E/C designers and specifiers to promote and influence use of precast/prestressed concrete products and solutions for both the Commercial and Bridge Markets. 
7. Technical Resources - Provide technical resources for the A/E/C industry to further promote precast and prestressed concrete solutions, (PCI technical materials). 
8. University Programs - Provide academic opportunities including student education for area architecture, engineering and construction management schools, including presentations, hands-on learning experiences, plant and project tours. Promote careers in the precast industry. And facilitate participation in G/C PCI and PCI events, including the PCI Convention and PCI Committee Days. 
9. PCI Foundation Curriculum Grants – Propose, coordinate, facilitate and participate in PCI Foundation curriculum grant programs at area universities.

Title:  Project Superintendent

Position Summary: Self-motivator, leader, and mentor, who champions the collaboration, communication and documentation efforts of Molin’s project and site specific precast concrete erection requirements. The ideal candidate will have either precast concrete erecting experience or commercial construction experience. This individual will be the pipeline between Molin Concrete Field Operations Department and our external customers (CMGC), who leads with a creative approach to solving complex and unique project and site constraints to the benefit of Molin Concrete. The candidate will utilize their industry experience and knowledge, with the goal of placing Molin Concrete’s Field erecting crews in the best position to erect projects in a ready, safe, effective, and efficient manner.

Essential Functions:

  • Manage and control assigned projects, overseeing the job site-specific coordination, documentation, and collaboration requirements between Molin Concrete Products and CMGC’s.
  • Collaborate with Molin Project Manager and Molin Field Manager, to develop an efficient, effective, and safe erection of all projects.
  • Establish, document, and communicate precast erection schedule, sequence, and direction with CMGC and other Molin departments.
  • Coordination and documentation with the CMGC, to ensure required truck and crane access roads/pads are achieved to the needs of Molin Concrete Products and prior to mobilization.
  • Thorough documentation via digital platform (Bluebeam, AutoCAD or other), to CMGC and Molin Concrete of all job site specific, site readiness, logistical requirements.
  • Visit, inspect, and field verify the jobsite prior to Molin crew mobilization and installation date.
  • Establish and coordinate requirements for Molin Field Quality Control to perform site layout and survey prior to erecting crew arrival onsite and to minimize mistakes in Drafting, Production and other trades. Minimize the need for rework by Field Installation crews.
  • Develop and communicate site specific safety plans and review with erection foreman prior to site mobilization.
  • Provide constructability and design input based on field erecting experience.
  • Provide pre, active and post installation quality control reviews of precast concrete erection. Collaborate with Field Quality Control on jobsite visits and documentation.
  • Work directly with equipment vendors to coordinate and schedule rented machinery that satisfies project requirements in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
  • Coordinate and schedule Molin subcontractors (caulking, grouting, etc.) as required for project completion.
  • Develop and collaborate with Project Manager on installation plans, crane requirements and crane layout for each assigned project that results in a safe, efficient, high quality outcome.
  • Collaborate with contractors and other internal departments through pre-construction and planning phases.
  • Lead efforts for corrective measures needed for ongoing and/or completed projects to satisfy customers demands. Communicate corrective action to internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with Molin Field Manager to coordinate availability of internal resources (crane, crew, etc.) to support customers’ schedules.
  • Promptly communicate critical information to internal customers such as delivery dates and installation sequence/direction. Participate in weekly Project Management meetings to monitor alignment of Engineering/Drafting/Production goals with changing customer demands as projects progress.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and leadership that reinforces Molin’s commitment to promoting safety in every aspect of the project. Incorporate safety in all decision-making. Confront all unsafe situations/actions.
  • Coaching, training and mentoring of Molin Field personnel.
  • Responsible for proper documentation of information exchanged at site and internal meetings relevant to project execution and for updating systems for easy access by all stakeholders. All verbal commitments on jobsites are to be documented, signed off by customers.

The Production Engineering Associate position is a full-time position responsible for the production of precast deliverables including but not limited to erection drawings, piece tickets, advanced bill of materials, quantity take off and, hardware shop tickets.   • Strip out panels after completion
  • Patch and repair panels as needed
  • Maintain and improve housekeeping to ensure a safe and productive workplace on an hour by hour, day by day basis
  • Complete daily preventive maintenance tasks as assigned, including tool maintenance
  • Support development & execution of Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the most efficient use of labor and materials on the line
  • Assist Foreman in identification of variance to daily plan
  • Support cross-training of employees

  • If quality error occurs, assist in determining the root cause and ensure that root cause is eliminated to prevent recurrence

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum High School Diploma or GED

Knowledge and Skills: Experience in the Precast Industry and/or construction desired but not required

Physical: Applicants must be able to walk and stand on feet for extended period of time, lift, push and pull up to 75 lbs, crawl on hands and knees, climb a ladder and be able to work long hours. This position works outdoors year-round and therefore subject to all weather conditions sometimes to include extreme cold and heat.

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all quality control systems to ensure continuous product manufacturing that meets CTU Precast and customer standards. While supervising a team of quality control inspectors and technicians he/she will ensure a consistent and blemish free quality product that meets established standards, customer specification and production goals. Ensuring that all quality control standards are in alignment with quality products.

Project Engineer  

Job Summary:

This position has duties and responsibilities in the following areas: to prepare computations and be responsible for drawings for precast concrete components and structures while maintaining a primary focus on public safety, cost, and schedule.  To provide support and direction to project designers and project leaders in order to facilitate timely progress on assigned projects.  To work with and assist sales, production, quality control, project managers, field personnel, contractors, architects, and engineers.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare structural computations for precast components, precast structures, and any associated connections.
  • Specify design requirements for precast components, precast structures, and any associated connections.
  • Submit RFIs as needed to complete the computations and needed to specify design requirements.
  • Check submittal drawings prepared by project designer for conformance with the intent of contract documents and the specified design requirements.
  • Check erection drawings prepared by project designer for release to production.
  • Check production drawings for conformance with erection drawings and specified design requirements.
  • Evaluate and resolve discrepancy reports.
  • Communicate with Project Team as necessary for successful completion of assigned projects.
  • Coordinate accurate estimated completion dates with Project Leaders and Project Managers.
  • Work internally with production, purchasing & installation team members to aid and resolve project issues.
  • Actively work with Senior Structural Engineer to create tools to increase productivity.
  • Any other duties, as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Required:

  • Ability to prepare structural precast computations.
  • Understanding of building code requirements.
  • AutoCAD drafting skills.
  • Employee must be detail orientated.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Excellent understanding of construction processes (architectural drawings, details, and constructability).
  • Possess great organizational skills.
  • Be proficient with MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Be proficient with engineering software.
  • Exhibit a strong willingness to learn.
  • To obtain and maintain licensure as a Professional Engineer.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Have the ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations to such tasks as structural analysis of building systems and components.
