Summary:

Summary:

KTA is recruiting an experienced full time Civil Engineer in the Pittsburgh area to plan and execute civil inspections and repair and construction of civil assets, as required, for a chemical processing facility. The Civil Engineer will support the Lead Civil Engineer in developing corrective action plans, budget planning for inspections, tracking condition history, keeping the asset register up to date, updating the Manage Threats and Opportunity (MTO) register, and supporting Quality Assurance (QA) for the Civil discipline.

You will assist in adapting company products to their requirement and specification while providing information to customers on new and current products, pricing, and general order status.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing innovative technologies in response to customer & Industry needs
  • Providing product selection and specification guidance for admixture technologies
  • Optimizing concrete mix designs for performance and sustainability
  • Testing concrete in our world-class laboratories
  • Providing technical expertise and troubleshooting

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or six or more years of experience in concrete technology. Sales experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Represent Master Builders Solutions in local industry associations.
  • Ability to learn new technology and processes quickly
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills at all levels within the organization
  • Exceptional people skills:
  • acuity in reading people and knowing how to adjust and communicate effectively
  • Adept at training others; able to distill complex information and present it clearly
  • Strong computer skills and aptitude, especially in Microsoft Office programs

Physical Demands:

  • Some lifting of up to 50lbs may be required.
