  • Reviews all letters of intent, purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy of dollar amounts, quantities and terms and conditions as outlined in our quote are correct.  Work with the Estimating and Project Management team on process of getting contract signed and executed which include any legal/liability issues needing review and input.
  • Participates in yearly budget preparation with regards to “Selling” expense workbooks. Controls expenses to meet budget guidelines and inputs month end results into the budget workbook.
  • Prioritize goals and objectives, enforce deadlines, and recommend and implement solutions for changes and improvements.    
  • Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
  • Integral part of the senior management team, responsible for preparing and contributing to the overall success of the business.

Education & Experience:

  • Prior experience (5+ years) in sales/estimating of Precast Concrete preferred

GATE Precast operates (2) Structural facilities, (2) dual-purpose Architectural / Structural facilities, and (3) predominately Architectural facilities. Gate Precast is transitioning toward being a Structural fabricator with high-end architectural expertise. This Structural Precast Engineer position, in part, is due to an increased focus on the total precast systems market and the addition of structural capacity in more of our facilities.

The successful candidate will provide designs with a focus on precast structures that include parking structures and total precast structures with a variety of end uses.

  • Lead a staff in the efforts to provide all necessary submittal information as required by project documents

We are looking for an energetic Quality Control Laboratory Technician with strong desire to interact with architectural precast concrete components.  Will be exposed to a wide range of lab testing procedures, documentation, geometry, inspections, aesthetic observations and the like.

As the Quality Control Laboratory Technician, you will be tasked with learning and eventually testing for compliance of Precast Concrete Institute, PCI standards and audits.  You will interact with other quality control technicians and report to the QC Manager.  You will be reading and interpreting blueprints and specifications, reading and understanding technical industry manuals and testing procedures, utilizing measuring tapes, walking up and down off of elevated platforms, being exposed to concrete mix designs, structural reinforcing mesh cages, and steel hardware and the like.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Technical / Record Keeping / Material Testing:

  • Identifies raw material condition by collecting materials samples; conducting inspections and physical tests of raw materials.
  • Identifies in-process product condition by collecting samples during production process; conducting in-process inspections and physical tests.
  • Producing sample cylinders, marking, curing and breaks as required per PCI and project specifications
  • Obtain batch reports from mixing operation, review, document and maintain project files as required per PCI

At American Concrete we manufacture Prestressed Precast concrete products for the rail roads and commercial concrete projects. We build slab and box beams, caps, abutments and other bridge components. Columns, beams, girders, walls and a variety of other components for many types of commercial projects. We are currently looking to hire a QC Inspector.

Under the direction of the Quality Control Manager within the Operations department, the Quality Control Inspector performs and documents quality control inspections of all types of precast concrete products.

The inspection process includes, but is not limited to evaluating pieces for dimensional accuracy, required tolerances and aesthetic appearance as well in interpreting piece tickets and production drawings (blueprints) . The quality control technician is also responsible for daily shipping and receiving finished product and raw materials.

A Project Manager at Coreslab Structures (MO) is expected to manage commercial projects in the St. Louis market for precast/prestressed concrete structures.  Such structures include: parking garages, mixed use structures, infrastructure projects, and other total precast solutions.
