The Media, PA regional office is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to join our precast concrete team. This role focuses on structural precast concrete design and detailing, but the candidate will be required to do Building Information Modeling (BIM) design for precast concrete structures using Tekla PC, as well as QA/QC and review of precast concrete erection and fabrication drawings. The successful candidate will work under the guidance of experienced project managers, all holding professional engineering licenses.

Our precast projects encompass a wide range of structural types, including warehouses, parking garages, data centers, architectural cladding, and other various precast concrete pieces such as culverts, etc.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work with project managers and team to design and detail various types of Precast Concrete projects.
- Review construction documents and issue RFI’s (Request for Information) for clarification of design and detailing information.
- Review erection drawings and fabrication drawings for conformance to design, applicable building codes, and construction documents.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients on multiple projects ensuring timely completion.
- Prepare and organize detailed technical calculation reports for precast concrete members and connection designs.
- Provide accurate and efficient lateral and bearing component and connection design as required.
- Direct project designers with modeling and drawing questions and assist entry level engineers with technical questions.
- Provide field support to the erector and contractor by responding expeditiously to field related issues and inquiries, proposing practical solutions and submitting sealed letters with detailed corrections.
Educatiaon & Experience:
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- 3+ years of experience in precast concrete or structural concrete design.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in Tekla Structures PC, AutoCAD, and/or Revit.
- Excellent organization and communication skills.
- Experience with precast concrete detailing on various types of projects including buildings, warehouses, utility and municipal structures, parking garages, etc.
- Proven experience reviewing architectural and structural plans to identify precast concrete component requirements, laying out erection drawings, producing fabrication drawings, and performing comprehensive QA/QC.
- Proven ability to multitask and manage project workload, deadlines, and clients effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and able to use technical software such as Eriksson Beam and Lecwall.
Licenses & Certifications:
- Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) licensure is required, Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure preferred.
