The PCI Student Education Committee is inviting entries from students and faculty advisors to participate in PCI’s Design Precast Competition for the 2026 - 2027 School Year. Inspired by the Big Beam competition, this program challenges students to explore innovative uses of architectural precast enclosure systems in structural, sustainable, and artistic ways.

The PCI Design Precast Student Competition provides all the technical criteria for the competition, so the focus is on aesthetic design solutions that conform to the fictitious owners’ design needs and precast concrete production processes.

Individual students or groups of no more than 3 students shall present their designs in the form of elevations and 3-D BIM Modeling. It is encouraged to work with a local PCI-certified producer to learn about the design assist method, understand the production process for precast concrete and the color(s)/texture(s) needed to complete the design.

Please complete the Competition Application by Friday, May 21st.

Once your application is received, you will be emailed a link to upload your submission. Final submissions are due Friday, June 4, 2027.
