A-Tech Aerial Key Project Attributes
- Casa Durango contains 37 affordable housing units with first-floor, on-grade parking for approximately 30 cars along with building amenities that include a community room, bike storage, and on-site laundry.
- The building had to be energy efficient and provide as many housing units as possible.
- Minimizing disruption and enhancing speed of construction were important.
Project/Precast Scope
- The entire structure is built of precast concrete, including hollow-core floor and roof slabs, demising walls, elevator and stair shafts, and architectural load-bearing exterior walls.
- The precast concrete producer used a custom formliner detail adjacent to the structure’s windows to add visual variety and make the apertures appear larger.
- It took about 30 days to erect all the precast concrete.
