PROJECT OVERVIEW

Illinois State Toll Highway Authority was established in 1958. Currently it encompass and maintains 294 miles of roadway in 12 northern Illinois counties. The average daily traffic is estimated to be over 1,600,000 vehicles.

The purpose of this structure and others on the system is to provide a maintenance facility for repair and maintenance of ISTHA vehicles use for snow removal and regular tollway roadway repairs. The ‘M’ Buildings are strategically placed throughout the 294 miles system.
