Proj Overview

Enterprise Precast Concrete is part of the team that built the first two towers of Cerner Innovations’ corporate campus headquarters – the first phase of what is anticipated to be the largest development in the history of Missouri.  When the 16-phase, 10-year plan for the Innovations Campus is completed, it is expected to house a total of 16,000 employees across more than 4.7 million square feet of space.

A combination of insulated and non-insulated precast concrete with a horizontal form liner was used on the lower two levels.  The protrusions in the precast formliner give the building a varying appearance at different times of the day. The panels also continued into the interior in the restaurant and lobby areas, facilitating a design connection between the building’s interior and exterior. While the precast was a supporting design element, the overall design involved a system that played well with other materials – a defining characteristic of precast concrete.

Since the completion of buildings one and two, buildings three and four were designed and constructed with a similar function, materials and overall appearance in mind in order to achieve a cohesive looking campus.
