PCI Professor’s 13-Week Teaching Materials

This material developed by PCI’s Student Education Committee, in partnership with professors active in PCI and the PCI Foundation, offers a comprehensive resource for educators wanting to integrate precast, prestressed concrete into their academic programs. Crafted by university professors, reviewed by the PCI Technical Activities Council and PCI staff, this material is approved for use only as part of the curriculum for any credit-earning course at the graduate or undergraduate level. It may not be used by for-profit entities.

This collection includes 13 weeks of content covering an array of precast, prestressed topics. Materials will include: Material Properties, Methods of Prestressing, Flexural Design, Deflection, Flexure-Axial Design, Design for Vertical Shear, Design for Torsion, Partial Loss of Prestress, Transfer and Development Length, End-Zone Reinforcement, Panel Fabrication and more.
