These four PCI Group types are made up of hundreds of volunteers representing all major stakeholders in the industry, collectively investing more than 30,000 hours annually.

Purpose: To guide the overall Quality Activities programs through internal committee and external source interaction to result in the highest-quality programs available to support the institute’s programs and the construction community. Mission: To oversee and provide strategic direction to PCI’s quality activity–related committees and ensure continuous improvement of their programs through interaction with all PCI councils, committees, and other outside organizations.

Purpose: To promote and maintain the PCI Certified Erector Program by overseeing company and field auditing programs and their auditors in conformance with Policy 29 and manuals MNL 127 and MNL 132; to recommend changes to manuals and audit processes when appropriate. Mission: To maintain a PCI Erectors Certification Program that confirms the capability of an erector to plan, handle and install precast concrete products properly and safely in compliance with established industry standards.

Purpose: To guide the Plant Certification program through internal committee and external source interaction to result in the highest-quality program available to support the institute’s members and the construction community. Mission: To maintain and administer a fabricator certification program based on independent verification of plant quality management systems, production techniques, equipment, and personnel that ensures the specifier and end-user of nationally uniform, high-quality manufacturing capabilities among widely separated and independently owned companies.

Purpose: To create and communicate education materials for PCI members of minimum quality control standards they should require of supplier items to meet industry requirements. Mission: To raise PCI members’ awareness of national as well as supplier-specific standards that impact how accessories are used in the fabrication, connection, and erection of precast concrete products.

Purpose: The Committee will recognize and drive improvement within producer member practices in all PCI program areas, over and above the minimum requirements (when present). Areas of interest include, but may not be limited to, productivity, safety, sustainability, personnel, plant operations, erection practices, concrete materials, and mix proportioning. Mission: To drive continuous quality improvement within all aspects of member companies, further strengthening the value of membership in PCI.
