Proj Overview

PS 468X, a new five-story, primary school in the Bronx, showcases how architectural precast concrete can deliver both performance and design flexibility in a dense urban setting. Universal Concrete Products supplied the precast façade, which paired a thin-brick veneer finish, formliner, and insulation to meet the project’s ambitious aesthetic and performance requirements. By fabricating the envelope components off-site to PCI stringent design and quality standards, the team delivered a low maintenance, durable building enclosure with a long service life.

The result? A beautiful, resilient, and thermally efficient building that meets New York City’s stringent sustainability mandates while providing a modern, welcoming environment for students.
