Precast concrete walls reduce off-gassing attributed to other materials. Most precast finishes do not require painting or coatings which can include unhealthy VOCs (volatile organic compounds). Also, precast concrete surfaces do not require chemical preservatives as other building materials.

Because thermal energy moves slowly through precast concrete, it is released slowly so it contributes greatly to a building’s energy efficiency and adds to occupants’ comfort.
