3D Printed Forms for Precast Concrete Webinar
PCI's December Free CEU Webinar
Precast concrete producers are using 3D printing, or large-scale additive manufacturing, as an innovative tool to increase efficiency, quality, and versatility in architecture and construction. Speakers will discuss how 3D printing was used on the high-profile, transformative Domino Sugar renovation project in Brooklyn, N.Y., For this project, a precast concrete producer used 3D-printed molds to cost-effectively create the architect’s vision of 993 precast concrete window panels that play with light and shadow to produce an end result that pays homage to the history of the refinery’s product—white, crystalline sugar.
