Key Project Attributes

  • The bank includes a drive-through structure featuring load-bearing panels engineered with wide openings to accommodate two lanes and provide ATM access.
  • The bank features complex mimicked-masonry elements, such as soldier coursing, brick arches, and stacked wall sections, as well as prefabricated cornices, recessed window accents, and a thin-brick façade.

Project/Precast Scope

  • The owner’s representative suggested going with total–precast concrete rather than masonry for the new bank building largely because of its wintertime construction schedule and the associated costs.
  • Precast concrete offered inherent noise reduction benefits, given the building’s location adjacent to a major highway,
  • Total–precast concrete construction allowed exceptionally tall parapet walls to conceal all the mechanical equipment on the roof.
