Project Overview

Lionsgate Studios Yonkers is the anchor of Great Point Studios’ film and television campus on Wells Avenue, built on the site of the former Otis Elevator factory overlooking the Hudson River. The campus totals roughly one million square feet and represents a $500 million-plus investment in the city, with eleven soundstages — eight at 20,000 SF, two at 10,000 SF, and one 30,000 SF stage — plus parking for more than 750 cars and 100 trucks. Lionsgate serves as anchor tenant, occupying seven of the eleven stages, alongside tenants including Mediapro and Syracuse University’s Newhouse School.

Precast Solution

Fabcon supplied Versacore insulated precast wall panels for the studio structure — a system well matched to soundstage construction, where large uninterrupted wall spans, acoustic separation between stages, and rapid enclosure all carry weight. The panels were finished with a broom texture and painted, delivering a clean, durable exterior appropriate to a working production campus. Plant-fabricated panels allowed the enclosure to keep pace with an aggressive phased delivery schedule as the campus expanded stage by stage.
