Free Webinar: Implementing the new AASHTO LRFD article 5.13 Anchoring to Concrete

Purpose of five webinars: Accelerate implementation of the new LRFD section for concrete anchor design and minimize State Highway Agency (SHA) overlapping efforts in implementation through the use of a “deployment kit” for nationwide implementation.

AASHTO LRFD Article 5.13, Anchors, of the reorganized Section 5 of the AASHTO LRFD Specifications, as found in the eight and nineth editions have adopted by reference Chapter 17 of ACI 318-14 as the procedures to design, detail, and install anchors with amendments as appropriate for application to highway bridges. Thus, wholesale reproduction of the voluminous ACI provisions are avoided. Professor Ron Cook of the University of Florida, the primary author of ACI Chapter 17, assisted with the development of proposed LRFD Article 5.13.

This team of experts, Don Meinheit, Ron Cook and Neal Anderson, assembled by PCI will deliver five webinars to the bridge community that address how a agency may elect to implement the findings of NCHRP Report 639 and 757 that were codified.

Each webinar is worth 1 CEU credit.

How to Integrate Precast Prestressed Concrete Design with BIM

Register Now

Date: Wednesday, July 29, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. CDT

Eriksson Software

In this free webinar you will learn about an exciting new technology that allows precast concrete designers to integrate design and detailing with BIM modeling. We will demonstrate how improved workflows and our new Sync product streamlines this integration leading to a reduction in detailing errors, less duplicated efforts, and measurable improvements in overall efficiencies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Review the current paradigm of reinforcing precast/prestressed concrete BIM models manually
  • Understand the new streamlined process of tightly integrating design and detailing with BIM modeling using Eriksson Software’s new Sync product
  • Assess workflow improvements realized by automating the process of reinforcing precast concrete BIM models using Eriksson Sync
  • Learn how to measure the reduction in detailing errors and the savings in time (collectively, the metrics) that result from using Eriksson Sync
  • Understand the potential improvement in metrics in transitioning from a manual-based BIM reinforcement workflow to an automated, integrated workflow using Eriksson Sync

  • Roy Eriksson, P.E., President/CEO
  • Jeremy Castello, EIT, Lead Engineer
  • Justin Callahan, Lead Software Engineer

Please note: This is a free, non-CEU webinar available for PCI members only.
