KTA is seeking reliable and competent PCI Certified Technicians to provide QA inspection of the fabrication of precast panels and prestressed bridge beams throughout Pennsylvania and neighboring states. All applicants must be willing to travel. This position is open to candidates with the following qualifications:

  • PCI Level II or III certification issued by the Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute - required
  • ACI Certified Concrete Field Testing Technician – Grade 1 certification – required
  • PennDOT Concrete Field Testing Technician - preferred
  • Prior experience in PennDOT and/or PA Turnpike Highway and Bridge Construction Inspection and knowledge/use of the PennDOT EQMS system - preferred
  • Experience with prestressed concrete inspection, particularly for transportation and bridge projects

  • Ability to travel, when necessary, and ability to work outside (including inclement weather);
  • Walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, crawling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time, and working in confined spaces and on uneven terrain.

Heldenfels Enterprises Inc. (San Marcos, TX) is currently looking for a well-qualified Quality Control Technician to join its team in our San Marcos, Texas team. Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:

 Job Specification:

  • To plan, direct, and implement quality control activities in the plant
  • Assist with day-to-day operations with the Quality Control Department
  • Direct on-site personnel involved in quality control work.
  • Prepare quality control procedures (work controlling documents) and review other department procedures for compliance with quality control requirements
  • Provide necessary outgoing correspondence and insure compliance and/or correctness
  • Perform inspection of work in various disciplines as required
  • Assist in resolution of company nonconformance reported by others
  • Able to work as a team member with Plant management to ensure a team effort and focus
  • Knowledge of Continuous Process improvement Techniques and practices
  • Must be willing to work long, varied hours, as production demands
  • Must be able to read and understand a tape measure
  • Must be able to adapt to our plant conditions and the way it runs.

  • Experience with SCC, Mix design and a good knowledge of Conventional Concrete Mix design and chemistry
