Anchor Webinar 3: Product Qualification and ESR Information

Free Webinar: Implementing the new AASHTO LRFD article 5.13 Anchoring to Concrete

Purpose of five webinars: Accelerate implementation of the new LRFD section for concrete anchor design and minimize State Highway Agency (SHA) overlapping efforts in implementation through the use of a “deployment kit” for nationwide implementation.

AASHTO LRFD Article 5.13, Anchors, of the reorganized Section 5 of the AASHTO LRFD Specifications, as found in the eight and nineth editions have adopted by reference Chapter 17 of ACI 318-14 as the procedures to design, detail, and install anchors with amendments as appropriate for application to highway bridges. Thus, wholesale reproduction of the voluminous ACI provisions are avoided. Professor Ron Cook of the University of Florida, the primary author of ACI Chapter 17, assisted with the development of proposed LRFD Article 5.13.

This team of experts, Don Meinheit, Ron Cook and Neal Anderson, assembled by PCI will deliver five webinars to the bridge community that address how a agency may elect to implement the findings of NCHRP Report 639 and 757 that were codified.
