A key focus of the PCI Foundation is to facilitate the inclusion of precast concrete systems and technologies in college and university curricula. Sponsorship of precast design studios is helping to meet this initiative, and studios have been sponsored at several universities across the U.S.
Precast Design Studios
In partnership with the PCI Foundation, Georgia/Carolinas PCI is co-sponsoring architectural and engineering studios at three universities in the region - Kennesaw State University, Clemson University and North Carolina University at Charlotte. G/C PCI assists the universities in funding these design studios and provides technical materials, lectures, plant and construction project tours (with hands on precast manufacturing experience). G/C PCI representatives have participated in curriculum development, student design crits and design review juries.
