How do Leading Developers Scale Data Centers Faster, with Higher Quality and Better ESG Outcomes?

This free CEU webinar is available to PCI members and non-members.

In this CEU-eligible session, Compass Datacenters shares how a prototypical design + closely-coupled supplier partnerships unlock shorter schedules, predictable delivery, and repeatable quality. We’ll explore Compass’ disciplined approach to continuous improvement, commitment to a manufacturing mindset, quality control measures, and long-term supplier relationships, enabling faster ROI for precasters.  We’ll also discuss how this foundation supports lower-carbon concrete and other sustainable outcomes that reduce environmental impact valued by hyperscale customers. Wells will share what precasters need to do differently to thrive in this model and how to start the shift from transactional relationships to partnerships for better outcomes including safety, sustainability and quality.

Learning objectives:

  •                     Understand the key drivers for data center developers: shorter schedules, predictable delivery, and repeatable quality and how these factors impact building performance.
  •                     Identify the design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA) principles for product development, like error-proofing and safer handling to achieve outcome-based specifications, as well as the importance of disciplined change management during the process.
  •                   Understand what’s required to establish mutually beneficial partnerships, reducing environmental impact for occupants and surrounding communities throughout the project lifecycle.
  •                   Evaluate how leveraging proven manufacturing techniques and adopting a manufacturing mindset is necessary to deliver safety, sustainability, and quality in the fast-changing data center industry.
